Senior Haematology/Oncology Pharmacist, Orange Health Service, New South Wales

Kate is the senior Oncology and Haematology Pharmacist at the Central West Cancer Centre and Orange Health Service. She first started in oncology pharmacy in 2008, and very quick developed a passion for oncology pharmacy. She moved to Orange and started working as the senior oncology and haematologist pharmacist in 2016, where she has been working to help bridge the gap between rural/regional and metropolitan patients with cancer. She helped set up one of the first rural inpatient oncology and haematology wards, which lead to the first rural site in Australia to offer inpatient induction for acute leukaemia. Her passion is ensuring rural and remote patients receive equitable oncology care, as close to home as possible.
