Dr James Williams
Medical Oncology Advanced Trainee, Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, QLD
Dr James Williams is a Medical Oncology Advanced Trainee currently working at Gold Coast University Hospital. He began his career studying a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science (Hons I) at Griffith University before completing a Master of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry at University of Sydney. In 2018, he graduated with Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Notre Dame, Sydney.
Following from his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, James maintains a keen interest in the treatment of patients with breast cancer. He has previously worked under the mentorship of Professor Elgene Lim, breast oncologist and scientist from Kinghorn Cancer Centre, and completed an exchange to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, USA working within the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Team. James has previously held teaching positions as Associate Lecturer at University of Sydney and Griffith University.
Outside of work, James enjoys spending his time with his young family and training for his next fitness goal.
