Carmel Woodrow

Clinical Nurse Consultant Myeloma/Amyloid, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queensland

Carmel Woodrow is a registered nurse with over 30 year’s experience in the field of haematology and oncology.

Carmel trained at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane then moved to the Stanford University Hospital in California working as a staff nurse then as Nurse Manager of the Haematology/Oncology inpatient ward.

Upon returning to Australia in 1995 she continued to care for Haematology and Oncology patients in the private setting and developed a keen in interest in Myeloma. In 2009, she took up her current position at the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Consultant for Myeloma and Amyloid. She is an active member of the HSANZ Nurses Group and sits on the Committee of the Myeloma Special Practice Network.
